Amending some provisions of the system of rules of Non-Omanis ownership of Real Estate in integrated tourism complexes issued by Royal Decree No.12/2006
We, Qaboos bin Said, Sultan of Oman
Having perused the Basic Law of the State promulgated by Royal Decree No. 101/96,
The Real Estate Register system issued by Royal Decree No. 2/98,
The Tourism Law issued by Royal decree No. 33/2002,
The regulations governing ownership of Real Estate by GCC citizens in the member states issued by Royal decree No. 21/2004
The Royal Decree No. 95/2005 laying down the powers and approving the organizational chart of the Ministry of Tourism,
The system of rules of Non-Omanis ownership in integrated tourism complexes issued by Royal Decree No.12/2006,
And pursuant to the exigency of public interest,
We have decreed the following:
Article One:
The phrase “ Non-Omani ownership of Real Estate in integrated tourism complexes shall be replaced by the phrase “ Ownership of Real Estate in integrated tourism complexes” wherever it appears in the cited Royal Decree 12/2006, the system of rules attached thereto and other laws.
Article Two:
The attached amendments shall be made to the system of rules of Non-Omanis ownership of Real Estate in integrated tourism complexes issued by the referred to Royal Decree No.12/2006.
Article Three:
The Minister of Tourism shall, with the assent of the Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water and relevant municipalities, set forth the Development Control Plan and the by-laws pertinent to the rules and regulations of Real Estate in integrated tourism complexes.
Article Four:
Apropos projects of integrated tourism complexes, the provisions of the sanctioned Development Agreement applicable to each of these complexes shall be valid and legally binding.
Article Five:
This Decree shall be published in the official gazette and shall take effect from the day following the date of its publication.
